Irish Survey on Climate Change

A recent survey by PTSB Bank stated that 7 out of 10 Irish consumers are concerned about climate change, and more specifically 7 out of 10 are concerned about the cost of becoming more sustainable.

The survey also found that 2 out of 3 Irish consumers believe that they are doing as much as they can about reducing their impact on the environment.

Myeco.ie very much welcome surveys like this one. But what it is saying is concerning.

  • 30% of the survey responses are not concerned about climate change – how can this be?
  • Those whom are concerned are primarily concerned with the cost impact – what about the impact on the environment, life and health?
  • 66% believe they are doing as much as they can – it seems like we have only scratched the surface in terms of what we as individuals can do.

We need to make a fundamental change to our mindset in terms of our impact on the environment.

When it comes to the environment, we’ve got positive choices to make and every small step will make a difference.

We have choices – let’s make the right ones!
